What do you get when you combine moving into a new house, hosting a new dance event, having no internet for a week, being sick , AND working full-time? Answer: a pathetic blogger! So, for those of you who have wondered what has happened to my writing, the explanation is LIFE.
As I sit here on Saturday morning, in the quiet before the storm, I wanted to share the experience of Legacy Dance Club’s opening night. Please enjoy these photos, curtesy of George Scott (aka Scotty).
Choosing the color of purple for Legacy Dance Club was a way of connecting the idea of royalty, lineage, elegance to the club. I had guarenteed the studio owner at least 20 participants and we hosted about 50.
Thanks to Tom’s three hours of dance music, we had time to enjoy the dances and time to visit. The Big Screen provided a back drop to the dancing with clips of Hollywood’s best dances. We enjoyed dancing ourselves and we enjoyed watching our friends dance.
Thank you to all who came out and all who have given me such positive feedback. We are on again for Satuday, May 21st. We look forward to seeing you again and hope to see some new faces, too.
