In the 4th century AD, a man who came to be called St. Nicholas touched the world with his generosity and kindness. As Bishop of Myra (today’s Turkey), he taught and lived the Christian faith. He found food for the hungry and gave money to the poor instead of enjoying the wealthy lifestyle of his family. His name day is celebrated by millions around the world on December 6th. In his honor, we are naming December’s dance after him.
Each year, when I unpack my Christmas decorations, I welcome my St. Nicholas’s back into the house like old friends. I look forward to sharing my decorations and my love for the true St. Nicholas at Legacy this Saturday night.
